HORGEN

Discover

Horgen, one of the oldest villages on Lake Zurich and only 15 minutes from the city of Zurich, invites you to explore and linger. The Schwan has been a meeting place for the people of Horgen since 1466 and is still an ideal starting point for exploring the whole of Switzerland. Our small, family-run team looks forward to welcoming you to the Schwan.

This is the starting point of a moderately difficult hike through the Sihlwald. The path takes you through the Sihlwald Wilderness Park with an impressive zoological complex. Along the way you will find places to stop and barbecue areas to eat and lookout points with a view of Lake Zurich. After about 3.5 hours of leisurely hiking, the path takes you back to Horgen.
